Trujillo

The fair was organized in honor of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo in commemoration of the 25th. anniversary of his rise to power. Maria Ogando was nominated as president of the Organizing Committee in July 1955. A tract of land west end of the capital city was destined for the fair. It was attended by forty-two nations.

All the Fair buildings were completed in a relatively short time of only six months. However, lacking little for the December 20 third exhibition structures were not ready. En la feria se exhibieron artículos y productos agrícolas dominicanos al público internacional. Una exposición de ganado fue de especial interés para Trujillo por su interés en la cría de ganado.
